Mark Fish talks Bafana Bafana glory days with Skhumba and Ndumiso

Mark Fish, or as many South Africans called him in his heydays “Feeeeeesh!”, came through for this week’s #BlomBlom on Good Friday with Skhumba and Ndumiso. He shared some memories of when he played both for Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana.

He also spoke about scoring an important goal for the national football team during the African Cup Of Nations in 1996. A goal that brought us closer to lifting the trophy, which the boys eventually did.

The 44-year-old now-retired Mark Fish also shared stories of his days playing for Jomo Cosmos at its peaks, before it was plagued by relegation, moving to Pirates and playing for the dream team that brought South African football its first ever silverware in 1996.

Last year, Mark Fish made the news for the #MarkFishChallenge, which was a tredning social media topic that started when he posted a photo of Sipho Hotstix Mabuse while the nation was morning the passing of Bra Hugh Masekela. He shared a good laugh about it with the Good Friday team.
